 I have been to 2 types of White Elephant parties: one where you bring a standard gift within a specified price limit, and one where you're supposed to dig something out of your own closet that you never use and don't want. I like that kind best-- the "gifts" are funny and sometimes someone's trash really is another's treasure.But if you're going to a party where you're supposed to buy something that most people would actually want, here are the Most Frequently Stolen Gifts (that's a good thing). They can all be found somewhere close like the grocery store, Target, or even the gas station.  - Lottery tickets presented in an inexpensive picture frame.
- Movie tickets with big movie-style boxes of candy.
- A Funny Game like Twister, "Would You Rather", Ouija board or Magic 8 Ball.
 - Wine with easy wine opener (Costco has a nice one for $20).
- Anything "As Seen on TV" like the Clapper or Chia Pets. You can find them at Target or Walgreen's.
- Gift cards are popular but sometimes you're not "allowed" to give a giftcard unless it's accompanied by something else. So give a Victoria's Secret card with a pair of underwear.
 TIP: Disguise the gift cards by putting them in huge gift bags with a bunch of tissue paper. - My favorite is toilet paper. I read about someone bringing a huge Costco package of it to a white elephant party. I couldn't bring myself to do it but you know, I'd probably steal that!
