   Mrs. Fields never disappoints. Boy, girl, young, old: Everyone loves a giant chocolate chip cookie.

   I like the "Pizza Cookie" for teens, which is simply a cookie delivered in a pizza box. Somehow it's a little cooler than a regular cookie.

2. Clothes.

   Teen-approved stores include Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Aeropostale, American Eagle, or Victoria's Secret (their "Pink" line is geared toward teens). Get something size-independent like a baseball cap or other accessory, or try the next suggestion...

3. Gift Cards.

   This might sound like a lazy gift to you but most teens really want to pick out their own stuff. Shopping is half the fun (they go with their friends) and it's always cooler if their mom/dad/anyone else didn't choose whatever they're wearing for them.

   And for the last minute shopper, nothing could be better-- you can get them at your grocery store or online. You can actually be done shopping 2 minutes from right now because many stores will email the gift certificate. No waiting for snail mail.

   For boys, I like those beaded or puka shell choker necklaces but unless you're sure he does too, stick to watches.

8. Beauty.

   Gift ideas for teenage girls can be tough: I wouldn't get makeup for a teen unless you're sure she's allowed to wear it. But most girls have the ok to wear lip balm, and you can find cute little sets at places like Target. If it's not too last minute and you have time to hit Sephora, they have tons of good selections at every price point, and their employees are usually very helpful.

   For boys you could go with cologne. The most popular ones right now are from-- you guessed it -- Abercrobmie and Hollister.
